Our Leadership.
Sherraine Gardner keeps all our branches running like well-oiled machines. She is responsible for the overall management and leadership to ensure customer satisfaction at every location.
She is a former banker, having worked for more than 14 years in various leadership roles with a prominent financial institution. Her experience covers the areas of operations, credit and human resources.
She holds a BBA in Banking & Finance with a minor in Human Resource Management from the University of Technology and an MBA from The University of Wales in Management Consultancy. She has also completed numerous short courses in operations, leadership, and performance management.
She is a member of the company’s Credit and Marketing Committees.
When she’s not investigating new ways to improve our operations, you can find her curled up on the couch watching Investigation/Police/Crime/Action Movies and reading James Patterson’s Crime and Mystery novels.
Trevor Hutchinson – the man behind it all. He is the visionary who founded our company and now serves as our Chief Executive Officer. Mr Hutchinson is responsible for the vision and strategic direction of Kris An Charles and oversees marketing and credit activities.
Before starting Kris An Charles Investments in 1992, he worked at Alcan Jamaica Ltd. and the Bank of Jamaica.
He holds a BSc in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies and certificates in several business and investment courses. He serves in the position of Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Jamaica Association for Micro Financing (JAMFIN).
Adrian Wellington is our facilities specialist. He manages our real estate assets and oversees the maintenance of company equipment and motor vehicle assets. He has more than ten years of experience in Facility Management, specialising in Building Design and Renovation.
Mr Wellington has a BSc in Urban & Regional Planning from The University of Technology, a Diploma in Industrial Electrical Maintenance and a Diploma in Building Technology. He continues to support our company to keep our branches islandwide ready to welcome our customers.
When he’s not checking tyre pressures or climbing scaffolding, you can catch Mr Wellington on the court or field playing basketball or football when his body allows him to.
Jennifer Williams – the people’s advocate. She serves as our Human Resources Officer and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource Department.
Mrs Willaims holds a B.Sc. in Management Studies, an M.Sc. in Social Policy and a Diploma in Gender and Development Studies from the University of the West Indies. She also has a Certificate in Gender Policy and Development from the Korean Women’s Development Institute and the Korea International Cooperation Agency.
She has worked in the public and private sectors, coming to us with over 40 years of knowledge and experience in human resource management, banking, business administration, management, research, social policy and gender and development.
She also served as a member of the National Framework for Action for Children, National Task Force Against Trafficking in Persons (NATFATIP), board member of the Women’s Centre of Jamaica Foundation and the National Council for Senior Citizens.
Mrs William’s training in Human Resources Management at several levels, coupled with her other skills and love for people, has boosted the dynamism of our team. Her vast experience and caring but firm way help her to bring balanced solutions to the table. We value how much she has done to guide and help our team members grow and develop personally and professionally.
Sheroy Lawrence manages our checks and balances. He serves as our Internal Auditor, managing the operations of the Internal Audit Department.
With over ten years of experience in accounting and auditing, Mr Lawrence is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica, and a Certified Internal Auditor of The Institute of Internal Auditors.
Mr Lawrence keeps our integrity in check, not just because he’s our auditor, but because he is also a minister, spending his days off, preaching at church and sharing the Word with everyone he meets.
Dania Binns makes sure every loan request is legit.
She has worked with us for over 15 years, starting as a Loans/Collections Officer, then becoming Senior Loans Officer, and Loans Supervisor and is now the Manager, Validation & verification. She and her team ensure that all the loans we process for our customers follow our policies correctly.
Ms Binns holds a BSc. in Psychology with a minor in Human Resource Development from the University of the West Indies. She is a part of our Credit and Marketing Committees.
You’ll often find her working hard for our company, but on her down days, she’s busy catching up on the latest sporting events and cheering on her favourite teams.
Africa Donaldson is the voice and face of our brand, telling everyone far and wide about our company. She has worked as a marketer for more than 15 years and oversees all our marketing, communications and advertising initiatives.
She holds a BSc in Administration (Honours) from the University of Technology and an MBA in Marketing from the University of the West Indies. Mrs Donaldson also has a Jamaican Securities Certificate and has completed numerous short courses in the areas of Marketing and customer-focused selling.
When she’s not sharing big ideas to promote our business, you can find her spending movie nights watching Marvel Comic films and cartoons with her children.
Venecia Henclewood manages our loan portfolio and designs strategies to maintain delinquency within established limits to manage credit risk and achieve collection targets.
Ms Henclewood manages our Customer Service Support Unit to ensure that the team processes all your requests according to our service level agreements.
She has more than 20 years of banking experience in branch operations, personal and business credit underwriting, adjudication and collections. She has held several senior positions in commercial banking up to the branch manager level.
Ms Henclewood holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the Institute of Management & Production and a BSc in Management Studies & Human Resources from the University of the West Indies. She has also completed several professional short courses in her areas of expertise.
She spends lots of time listening to her favourite tunes, busting moves on the dancefloor, and watching movies and she is the undisputed queen of drama at Kris An Charles.
IT Support Manager.
Antoan Hutchinson is our tech guy who keeps us connected to each other and our customers.
He supports network security, software improvement, and communications. He also serves on the Credit Committee and lends his expertise to the accounting department. His IT knowledge has helped us develop an incredible core software system that we use to provide easy and hassle-free loans for clients.
Mr Hutchinson holds a BSc in Information Technology from the University of Technology.
Judith Hutchinson is the Chief Financial Officer at Kris An Charles, responsible for finance and accounting. She manages the purse strings and makes the money moves.
She has worn many hats in her professional life, including teacher, accountant, finance guru, and management pro, lending her significant expertise to all areas of our operations. Before joining the Kris An Charles team, she worked in many senior finance and accounting roles in prominent private sector entities across Jamaica.
She holds a BSc in Management Studies (Honours) and an MSc in Accounting from the University of the West Indies. Ms Hutchinson is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica and has obtained a diploma in Business Education from the University of Technology and the Jamaica Institute of Management/Jamaica Stock Exchange Jamaican Securities Certificate.
General Manager.
Carole Budhlall sits in the driver’s seat of our company as our General Manager. She’s the one who ensures that all our Departments cooperate to deliver excellent service, innovative products, and flexible solutions to our customers every time. She supports the CEO in strategy implementation and is responsible for ensuring the continuity of our strong performance culture and that we live our core values.
With more than 20 years in banking and finance, she put her foot on the gas to help us become the leading microfinance company in Jamaica.
Ms Budhlall has a BSc. in Accounting (First Class Honours) from the University of the West Indies and an MBA from Florida International University. She holds the Jamaica Institute of Management/Jamaica Stock Exchange Jamaican Securities Certificate, has completed numerous short courses in credit and accounting and is a member of the JAMFIN JAMFA Joint Advocacy Committee.
In addition to being the driving force behind our business, Ms Budhlall is also an avid Formula 1 motor racing fan, supporting the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team.
