We are thrilled to announce that Kris An Charles Investments Company Limited was again one of the proud sponsors of the Jamaica Library Service National Reading Competition and its Awards Ceremony, held on August 30, 2024.This sponsorship is in keeping with our mission to contribute to national development and our ongoing commitment to promoting literacy and education in Jamaica.

The National Reading Competition started in 1988 as part of the 40th Anniversary celebrations of the Jamaica Library Service. At first, it involved only the age group 9 to 11 years. With accelerated success and heightened levels of expectation, the Competition expanded to include additional age groups, allowing persons from ages 6 to 99 to enter and enjoy the benefits of reading. The National Reading Competition Awards Ceremony is a wonderful opportunity to recognize and reward the hard work and dedication of all the participants in the Competition. By sponsoring this event, we aim to promote a love of reading and learning, fostering a brighter future for our communities.

At Kris An Charles, we are enthusiastic about the transformative power of education and literature for personal development and achievement. Through our support of the Jamaica Library Service initiatives, we strive to create a lasting influence on the lives of youth, fostering a reading culture that goes well beyond the Awards Ceremony.

We are grateful for the chance to be involved in such an impactful event and eagerly anticipate furthering our support for initiatives like this that champion literacy and education in Jamaica. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Jamaica Library Service for orchestrating this competition and congratulations to all the talented readers recognized at the Awards Ceremony.
