On Labour Day, May 23, 2024, our team from Kris An Charles Investments Company Ltd. embarked on a mission to clean up the beach surrounding the Plumb Point Lighthouse along Palisadoes. Our efforts were successful, leaving the area clean and positively impacting the natural inhabitants and surrounding wildlife.

Our team’s commitment to the Jamaican environment and to community service was on full display as they diligently worked to try and ensure that the surrounding shoreline was clean. Our efforts serve as an example of the positive impact that can be achieved through collective action.

By volunteering time and energy on Labour Day, our team exemplified the spirit of giving back and is in keeping with our mission to contribute to our community and to national development.

In addition to our Palisadoes cleanup efforts, other Kris An Charles branches around the island worked on other projects, which included painting schools and other community initiatives. This collective display of community service and environmental stewardship highlights the positive impact that we can achieve through shared action. Also to our dedication to improving our shared spaces therefore contributing to the communities around us and to the development of our nation.

As we reflect on this initiative, we must remember the valuable role each of us plays in maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of our shared spaces. The labour of love shown by Kris An Charles, highlights our love to serve and is a call to action for all of us to join hands in preserving Jamaica’s natural treasures that enrich our lives.

Let us celebrate all the national efforts shown this Labour Day and pledge to continue working together to keep our environment clean and beautiful for the benefit of present and future generations.
